Generative AI, encompassing tools like language models and image generators, offers valuable support in everyday tasks across fields like work, education, healthcare, and communication. ChatGPT, for instance, reached 100 million users within two months of launch, showing its widespread appeal among students, professionals, and beyond.
Yet, barriers like low income, limited digital literacy, and tech access prevent some groups from benefiting equally. Our partnership addresses this gap by bringing AI learning opportunities to non-formal adult education settings, focusing on accessible methods for less advantaged groups. With experienced European partners, we aim to empower adult educators, ensure sustainable practices, and foster widespread competence development that addresses Europe’s evolving skills needs.
Objectives
- Develop an innovative methodological toolkit for adult learners and educators on how to use generative AI in daily life.
- Provide competence development to adult educators to ensure the implementation and sustainability of the produced methodologies.
- Engage adult learners with fewer possibilities in inclusive and accessible learning activities to promote the development of digital competencies.
- Maximize the spread of the project’s results at various levels and across sectors.
Activities
Partners will jointly develop the educational contents and pilot them with target group learners and educators. Competence development among the educators will be extended to non-partner organizations. In order to measure the quality and impact of the activities on skill development of the participants, research will be implemented at different stages of the project. Dissemination and sustainability actions will include a range of activities and national seminars in each partner country.
Impact
An innovative, adaptable and transferrable methodological toolkit, validated in 4 countries, will be delivered. At least 15 educators from partner organizations and 250 educators from non-partner organizations will obtain new competencies related to the produced methodologies. At least 400 adult learners will gain knowledge about the use of generative AI tools to enhance their daily life. At least 120 participants of national seminars will be introduced to the project’s outputs and outcomes.
