Objectives
Respect Connect project aims to prevent bullying and cyberbullying in primary schools by integrating innovative digital tools and SEL strategies. We will empower teachers, enhance students’ social-emotional skills, and foster safer, more inclusive learning environments. By enabling collaboration and best practices sharing among teachers and education professionals, we ensure a sustainable, long-term positive impact on European educational communities.
Activities
The project foresees the:
– Development of a gamified App with a Parent’s Guide
– Co-creation workshops with target groups
– Development of the Educator’s Toolkit to enable the direct implementation at schools
– Teacher Training to equip them with the competencies needed to implement the piloting at schools
– Pilot Testing of the App and Toolkit with students
– 2 TPMs
– A European Webinar for wider dissemination
– 6 Multiplier Events
– Extensive dissemination activities throughout the project
Impact
The project will generate 3 Concrete Results:
– A gamified App
– A Parents’ Guide to enable the App usage outside school
– The Educator’s Toolkit to integrate the App at schools and propose the SEL approach for bullying prevention.
Respect Connect will enhance teachers’ skills, knowledge and self-efficacy in SEL and increase students’ social-emotional skills to prevent bullying. Partners will enhance their capacity to create apps and SEL resources and improve their CPD offer in this field.
The role of STEP Institute
We will lead WP3, which focuses on the development of a comprehensive teachers’ resource that supports the overarching goal of creating safer, more inclusive school environments. This WP is designed to equip primary school teachers with the knowledge and tools to foster social and emotional skills in their students while effectively integrating the App into their teaching practices.
