The project aims to enhance leadership capacities and establish a Europe-wide network of school principals to promote growth mindset-oriented education. We seek to empower educational leaders with strategies and collaboration opportunities, enabling them to foster and sustain growth mindset cultures in their schools, ultimately improving teaching practices and student outcomes.
Objectives:
O1: Strengthen leadership capacities for cultivating a growth mindset in schools.
O2: Foster European collaboration and exchange among principals for growth mindset-oriented leadership.
We plan to establish a collaborative network for principals, conduct online peer learning workshops, and organize a strength-based leadership event in Spain. These activities are designed to share best practices, facilitate collaborative learning, and provide leadership development opportunities, all aimed at fostering a culture of growth mindset across European schools.
RESULTS:
- R1: A structured network of principals and school leaders across Europe with a platform for ongoing communication, resource sharing, and collaboration.
- R2: Three PGN professional development events (1 onsite, 2 online).
- R3: PGN event outputs, including learning materials, resources, and case studies.
We aim to engage 100 principals, initiate 10+ collaborative efforts (Erasmus+, eTwinning, informal exchanges), and involve 60 principals from 10+ countries in online workshops. Additionally, 10 principals will participate in the onsite leadership event in Spain.
Beyond tangible results, the PGN project will enhance leadership skills, deepen European collaboration, and cultivate a connected community of principals, leading to lasting cultural shifts toward growth-oriented practices in schools.
The role of STEP Institute
STEP will actively participate in all activities of the project while taking the lead in organizing Online peer learning workshops toward growth mindset-oriented leadership in schools, where principals will present best practices, engage in structured discussions on leadership challenges, and collaborate on strategies for fostering a growth mindset culture in schools, culminating in shared insights and action planning.
