We spent three unforgettable days in Barcelona at the international learning event of the Green Portfolio project – a European initiative promoting bilingual and sustainability-focused education in kindergartens.
Hosted by the wonderful Escola Galí Bellesguard, located high above the city and surrounded by forest, we explored how outdoor and forest school approaches can be integrated into early education. The children there learn about nature, plants, and sustainability directly in the forest – an inspiring example of experiential learning.
Partner organizations shared inspiring examples of how they bring sustainability to life in their everyday work, the goals of the Green Portfolio project were presented, and together we tested several activities from the project booklet to gather feedback from teachers and discuss the next steps.
