We’re proud to share the International Report of the Empatheatry project, which offers valuable insights into the challenges and needs faced by youth workers and educators when facilitating theatre for young people with fewer opportunities. Based on thorough qualitative research, the report is now available on the project website.
But that’s not all—this summer, we’ve been busy developing the Guidelines for Working with Young People with Fewer Opportunities.
The guidelines are divided into two parts. In the theoretical part, we present the main findings of our international research on how to work with young people with fewer opportunities (with a focus on the theatre context). This is followed by a practical section, which presents tips and concrete activities on how to maintain continuous work with young people and how to promote emotional intelligence among them. The latter is particularly important for their overall personal development. Additionally, you can find some resources for further practical activities.
Together with the project partners we are now moving full speed ahead with organizing local trainings, where we will use the guidelines, gather valuable feedback, and refine them for further improvement. Once finalized, the guidelines will be available on the website.
