The partner of the TIPS project, CEED Slovenia, organized the event World Champions, which featured entrepreneurs sharing interesting real-life business stories.
The event offered insights into entrepreneurial journeys, the challenges of developing innovative solutions, and the opportunities provided by the modern business environment. A special emphasis was placed on concrete entrepreneurial experiences and the creation of new business opportunities.
At the event, the following entrepreneurs shared their experiences:
- Željko Perovič, co-founder and CEO of OneSails, one of the largest sail manufacturers in Europe, operating in 72 countries and the only company in the world producing 100% recyclable sails.
Andraž Mihelin, co-founder of Seascape, which developed a new niche of “performance cruisers” and became a development center within the Beneteau Group.
The discussion was moderated by Martin Hladnik.
Both speakers presented business models based on sustainable innovation: OneSails with its 100% recyclable sails and Seascape with lightweight, energy-efficient sailing yachts. In doing so, they contributed to raising awareness about the green transition and sustainable development in entrepreneurship.
Within the event they presented the project TIPS: Sustainable Education, Entrepreneurial Mindset and STEM – Drivers of Sustainable Development – its objectives, and invited participants to join upcoming entrepreneurial workshops. Since the event participants are among the key target groups for the project’s future activities, its presentation in the event program itself and in the accompanying communication materials was particularly important.
