In February 2020, we held three training sessions on the topic of coaching and mentoring at STEP. We conducted two in Ljubljana and one in Koper. The participants were mostly students of various faculties who work with people and can use the content usefully to help colleagues and customers. We discussed topics related to mentoring, such as work skills and competences, the problem of discrimination, communication, interpersonal skills, soft skills and coaching tools. The participants did not only receive theoretical knowledge, but also tested the acquired knowledge in practical training activities. Each participant also received feedback that can be useful for further personal and professional growth. Before the training, the participants solved the online platform, which equipped them with the necessary prior knowledge. You can access the online platform here:
Feedback about the training from the participants was inspiring:
“I liked that the trainers adjusted the training according to our experience and knowledge, while at the same time taking into account the wishes of individuals. I liked that they shared practical personal examples that increased the trust between us. I am very satisfied!”
“I have never participated in anything like this, so I had no expectations and no experience. I liked that we started with the basics so I was able to follow along with no problem. I think I have learned a lot and I will be able to put the knowledge to good use.”
“I gained useful knowledge, experience, advice and information that I did not receive during my studies. The training will help me to develop personally and professionally, for which I am very grateful.”
