GREENWEAVE empowers adult learners, particularly low-skilled adults, to adopt sustainable consumption behaviours and engage in circular economy practices. Through participatory learning, SME mentoring and digital tools, the project develops transferable, modular resources that strengthen green competences, foster behavioural change, and enhance the capacity of adult education providers across Europe, supporting the green transition and lifelong learning.
Activities
The project will implement the following key activities:
- Sustainability research and skills mapping: Research on sustainable fashion policies, good practices, consumer behaviour and green skills needs across partner countries. The findings will support the development of sustainable skills frameworks and a common sustainability strategy.
- Green Fashion Learning Lab: Development and testing of practical learning resources for adults and textile professionals, including short educational videos, thematic guides, interactive quizzes, workshops and digital tools covering circular economy, sustainable production and responsible consumption.
- Green Wardrobe Challenge: A participatory 30-day challenge encouraging adults to put sustainable habits into practice through clothing repair, reuse, conscious purchasing and extending the lifespan of garments. Local businesses and educators will support participants through mentoring and peer learning.
- Awareness and knowledge sharing: Communication campaigns, events and online activities to raise awareness of sustainable fashion and share the project’s educational resources and results with a wider European audience.
Impact
GREENWEAVE aims to make sustainable fashion more accessible and practical for adults across Europe. By strengthening green skills and environmental awareness, the project will help consumers make more informed purchasing decisions, reduce textile waste and adopt circular habits in their everyday lives.
The project will also support adult educators with new teaching resources and help small textile businesses strengthen their sustainability practices. Its freely available educational materials and participatory learning approaches will encourage continued learning, cooperation and sustainable behaviour beyond the project’s duration.
