Over the past weeks, we’ve been proud to contribute to the progress of the In4Sustain project through valuable discussions and powerful community building.
On March 25th, we co-hosted an insightful online Focus Group together with Titera, bringing together voices from Slovenia and Germany to explore what sustainability really means across the textile and clothing sector.
Key takeaways from the session:
The industry is taking action:
-
Using deadstock yarns & scrap materials
-
Prioritizing local production & organic fabrics
-
Ditching plastic packaging
-
Offering clients sustainable product options within budget
-
Focusing on education first – getting clients on board to influence consumers
Education is going deeper:
Sustainability isn’t just about materials. It’s about teaching the full picture – including social, economic, and circular thinking.
Consumers are ready but cautious:
-
They want transparency, not greenwashing.
-
They’re turning to second-hand shopping and community projects (like clothing swaps for food or hygiene items) that make a real difference.
One clear message emerged: systemic change requires collaboration, honesty, and continuous learning.
And there’s more news!
We’re excited to announce that the In4Sustain Ambassador team is now complete! Representing multiple countries, they bring innovation and expertise to the project. They’ll help evaluate outcomes and energize the community, ensuring our goals stay aligned with real-world needs in the textile & clothing sector.
