Career guidance is a broad topic. It combines the following: an individual approach, assessment of potential, empowerment of the client and motivation for the next steps. Counselling can be implemented inside organisations where people work (usually for higher positions), outside the organizations (often by special institutions that work with unemployed) or in educational institutions (career counselling for students at universities).
We specialise in career counselling for both private and public organisations. Some projects were designed target groups of leaders and talents. But some of the most interesting work was done for employees that are employed on entry levels in organisations. Here we deal with limited resources and opportunities. The first steps are related to building trust and gaining new insights into their strong and weak points. After that, we empower fresh thinking and behavioural styles. Here we deal with lack of time, low self-confidence and change barriers. Sometimes clients find much value when they cooperate in teams, especially during team coaching sessions. The process ends with preparation for more demanding jobs or new career paths.
Besides direct work with clients, we also work with career counsellors. We provide train-the-trainer sessions for their work-related skills (leading in-depth interviews with clients, special techniques in counselling, dealing with resistance and lack of motivation). We help to mobilise the energy of a whole team through team coaching, peer coaching, and supervision. Sometimes we take the role of mentors for inexperienced counsellors.
We are especially fond of new methods and approaches in career counselling. Digitalization provides new opportunities with online assessment, more accurate matching of potential and job opportunities and online learning methods. In some of our projects, we are already making innovative steps in that direction.
